We all have mental health.

Not everyone is mentally fit.

It works like the body. You can be healthy and still not be fit, and fitness is what lets you carry more, recover faster, and handle whatever the day puts in front of you.

Your mind is the same. Mental fitness is the capacity beneath everything you're already doing.

Hi, I’m Jennie. I’m based in Old Town Alexandria, but I work with clients all over.

I spent years as a personal fitness trainer and a nutrition coach helping people get in shape, and what got me wasn't the before-and-after photos.

It was watching who kept the results and who lost them.

The people who slid back weren't less disciplined. They changed what they were doing without training their mind, and the old patterns eventually pulled them right back. Enter the “yo-yo” of change.

Most approaches work on the surface: the habits and the goals. I work a level below that.

Self-leadership starts in the mind.

Change the beliefs and the identity underneath, and the behavior follows. That's where it holds.

Trained Mind, Intentional Life

A fit body, a calm mind, a house full of love. These things cannot be bought; they must be earned.
— Naval Ravikant

You already accept this about your body. It's earned through the training, the food, the rest, and no one can do the reps for you. A calm, clear mind is earned the same way. The difference is nobody can see it, so instead of training it, most of us learn to override what's going on and hide it.

This guide is where your training starts. Here's what's inside:

  • A five-minute practice you can do today. (Your first rep of mental training.)

  • A simple way to move from scattered and reactive to clear-headed. (The Flow Framework.)

  • How to build the capacity, capability, commitment, and consistency that make it stick. (The Four Cs.)

  • Practices that strengthen how you lead yourself, at work and at home. (The mental toolbox.)
